A bus overturned on Annet Drive in Reservoir Hills, west of Durban, on Monday morning. At least 20 people, including school children on their way to school, sustained injuries.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson confirmed the bus came to rest on its side. Between 15 and 20 casualties received treatment on scene. Multiple ambulances attended the incident.
Road closed as recovery operation starts
Paramedics closed the entire roadway. Motorists must avoid the area until the recovery operation finishes.
Jamieson said emergency crews will treat and transport the injured first, then begin vehicle recovery. SAPS and Metro Police are investigating the cause.
