Newly released documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein include emails that name Cape Town in discussions about scouting models and forwarding photos.

The release, published by the US Department of Justice, runs to about three million pages and was made public on Friday, 23 January.

In one email thread contained in the files, a person identified as “Daniel” forwarded a message to Epstein indicating that a modelling agency called Pure Management had sent photos, described as “presumably of women”.

The forwarded email was sent by a person identified as “Lianne” from Pure Management to Daniel. It mentions a model named Annika, described as 20 years old. The email states they wanted to place her in Paris and that she would be available to travel from November.

“Potential of Girls is Huge”

The same thread includes a message from Daniel that uses the phrase “the potential of girls is huge”. The message suggests he wanted to return to South Africa to scout and says he was planning to go at the end of May for a month.

The wording and the travel plan appear in the documents as part of the broader correspondence linked to model scouting.

High-Profile Names Mentioned

The documents also contain references to a range of well-known figures, including former president Jacob Zuma, US President Donald Trump and business figures such as Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Howard Lutnick and Richard Branson.

A name appearing in the files does not on its own prove wrongdoing. The documents reflect mentions and correspondence contained in the release.

Zuma Mention Tied to a 2010 Dinner Invite

Zuma’s name appears in relation to a UK state visit from 3 to 5 March 2010. An email in the files from Mark Lloyd to “Vera” discusses arranging a small dinner at the Ritz Hotel in London and inviting her, describing the idea as coming from Epstein.

The Jacob Zuma Foundation has dismissed claims of any unlawful conduct linked to the release.
